Tiger Eye gemstones were first discovered in the early 1800's in South Africa and were originally considered rare and precious.
Tiger Eye is a chatoyant gemstone, a member of the quartz group of gemstones, that is metamorphic in nature, sporting golden to reddish brown colours with a silky lustrous appearance. The characteristic stripes (striations) seen in the gemstones ae due to teh parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibres, that have mainly turned into limonite (a major iron ore - hydrated ferric oxide).
Naturally stunning and beautiful to wear, complimenting all skin tones.

To clean, gently wipe with a solution of mild soapy water, using a soft cloth, them leave to dry.
